Calculus involves a lot of concepts and methods which are no easy feat to master and can be downright intimidating when you first learn about them. This is why studying calculus requires a lot of work.
Is Calculus Hard?
Calculus is definitely a complex subject. It’s so hard to study, in fact, many students have trouble even getting through the first few chapters.
This has everything to do with the difficulty of understanding the math involved. There are many concepts that are abstract and difficult to grasp, and there are also several techniques that are not immediately obvious.
To get through calculus, you’ll need to understand the fundamental concepts of calculus—including things like limits, derivatives, integrals, and functions. And these get increasingly complicated as you progress through the course.
It’s impossible to learn calculus without spending a lot of time reading about it.
To make things worse, calculus is also much harder than high school algebra and college calculus. So it can seem almost impossible to make any headway.
